Bathroom Decor

I know, I know, it is taking me forever is seems to completely finish our guest bathroom!  Before I posted pictures of the final space, I wanted to find one more good accessory to make the space pop.  One rainy evening I searched a few of my favorite stores and snapped pictures of accessories I thought might look good on the counter top.  The first three pictures are photo's I snapped of the space to keep me on track with color scheme, patterns and artwork that would be cohabiting in the bathroom.  My goal is use bold patterns but keep a cohesive look.  Which piece do you think would look best in the bathroom?

DIY Party Favors

This past weekend we celebrated our Godson's 2nd Birthday, I literally remember the day he was born like it was yesterday.  Last year we did a Yo Gabba Gabba theme, this year we kept it equally as colorful Sesame Street theme.  With the help of Kate's Sesame Street Birthday Party and Free Printable's, I was able to put together these super cute DIY favors with Brysen's favorite snack, Animal Crackers!

Quesadillas with Shrimp and Peppers

Not being a lover of seafood lover, I must admit this recipe looked pretty good when I saw it on The Pioneer Woman.  I imagine it would be just as tasty with chicken substituted for the shrimp.  Try it out both ways and share your thoughts!

Denver, CO

I was lucky enough to spend Labor Day Weekend in the beautiful city of Denver, Colorado, visiting some pretty amazing friends.  Andi & Gini were great hosts and jam packed the weekend full of fun activities; karaoke, a hike at Red Rocks Amphitheater & Park, A Taste of Colorado Festival, Bond fire & Smores, Paddle Boarding at the Aurora Reservoir and some good old R&R.  It was an awesome weekend and I really enjoyed every minute of it!

Boneless Buffalo Wings

One evening for a quick and easy dinner we whipped up a batch of boneless wings adapted from this recipe.  They were just as good as the one's from our favorite restaurant. Bon Appetit!

COLOR INSPIRATION: Burgundy & Coral

Although a tad bit uncommon, I think Burgundy & Coral is such a beautiful color combination and perfect for this time of year when we are saying goodbye to summer and hello to fall.  What do you think, is this a color palette you would use for your wedding?
