Chocolate & Orange Fall Wedding

Today's wedding is a throwback from about 5 years ago.  This has been my absolutely favorite fall wedding, I just love everything about it from the colors, to the room set-up, the uplighting and all the little details that made it perfect for the couple.  Their wedding day was truly filled with warmth and love.

Carolina Blue & Canary Yellow Spring Wedding

We had the pleasure of working with Sharay & Tamocus on their wedding a few weeks ago.  They were so sweet and easy going and we loved working with them on their special day.  Their love for one another and love and support from their families was truly felt throughout their wedding and all the details like their monogram "A," candy table and custom chucks the bride & groom wore.

Mardi Gras Sweet 16

Destination Wedding - Planning

Over the past few months I've been working with the sweetest couple to plan their wedding scheduled for next week.  This is a destination wedding for them and their guests since they will all be traveling to the Triad to celebrate this marriage   The bride currently lives in Japan and the groom in New York, so all of the planning has been entrusted to me.  They have been such a pleasure to work with and so patient with the whole planning process.  We've spent a lot of time picture sharing and e-mailing so I wanted to share a few snapshots with you before I share the final product after their wedding.

Maryland Rooftop Venue

Currently I am working with a few clients in Maryland and have been fortunate enough to tour some pretty unique venues.  One of my latest tours included  The Rooftop at Rockville's Town Center which is absolutely stunning! 

Not only is the view to die for on the rooftop of the VisArts Center but it comes complete with a rain plan!  This attention to detail, artsy atmosphere and prime location makes them a must see venue if you are planning and event.

Holiday Wedding - The Big Day

On December 10, 2011, I had the pleasure of witnessing all of the planning and coordination of a holiday wedding come together. 

Decorated with fresh greens and deep rich holiday reds and metallic's, the holiday spirit was certainly present.  The couple's love was celebrated by their closest friends and family who witnessed the personal ceremony, rang bells as they couple was pronounced husband and wife, cheered with sparklers as they exited and ate, drank and were merry!  Congratulations Em & Mike!!!!!

Holiday Wedding - Planning

Thanksgiving through New Years is the most festive time of year, so why not add a wedding to the mix!  I have been working with a bride and her mother planning her December nuptials, and boy has it been a blast.  We spent a day touring her venue, meeting with the caterer and picking out linens and decor for her big day.

We started the day at Greensboro College where the ceremony and reception will take place.  This adorable chapel is definitely a hidden gem in Greensboro.

Next we headed to the Lea Center where the reception will be held. The antiques in the space are so beautiful and have the perfect color pallet for the wedding decor the bride picked out.

To end our day we took a trip to Happy Rentz to talk linens and place settings. After playing with a few ideas, here's a look at what the bride chose.

Intimate Military Wedding

This wedding was for a sweet sweet young couple that came together beautifully.  The groom is a soldier who is about to get deployed so the engagement and wedding happened in about a months time.  This beautiful couple celebrated with their closest friends and family, with the most spiritual and emotional wedding I have witnessed in a while. 

Their color pallet was shades of green, in honor of the grooms military service and accented with yellow.  All of the details were carefully selected and designed by the couple.  I wish them the best of luck and thank them for their families sacrifice for our country!

Rob Smith's 50th Birthday Celebration

A month ago I had the pleasure of attending a 50th Birthday celebration that had been in the planning works for quite some time. 
The party was held in a ballroom at the Key Bridge Marriott in Arlington Virginia. The staff there was friendly, helpful and awesomely accomodating. The hotel was set in a beautiful location over looking the potomac river and Georgetown University.

Rob was surpised by all the guests that attended. The party lasted into the night, the guest had a great time full of lively dancing music, curtesy of DJ Wiggs, tons of food to try at the many different stations, provided by the marriott, and a beautiful cake provided by Tiffany's Bakery.

"Sharing Our Love"

This past weekend I had the pleasure of watching an event come together for a wonderful bride that I have been working with for the past 16 months.  The couple had a small intimate ceremony on a beautiful Sunday evening with the theme "Sharing Our Love."  I must say it was such a joy to see this wedding come together perfectly and witness the love and spirtualilty this couple was surrounded with.

As an ode to the theme there were tons of hearts, pink and red all around.  All of the careful planning came together beautifully and everyone had a good time!
