Baked Eggplant Parmesan

I can only remember having Eggplant Parmesan one time in my life.  We were spending the summer at my Grandmother's house with a few of our cousins.  Eggplant Parmesan was on the menu and none of us were looking forward to it, one of my cousins got lucky and went out with one of his friends and got to eat McDonald's for dinner leaving the rest of us to force down this delectable dish.

DIY Wall Art

Earlier this month I shared some DIY Art Inspiration in hopes of finally completing our guest bathroom that I pained way back in February.  The good news, I'm finally putting the final touches on the space and am pretty happy with the end result of my DIY Art.

I must say this was definitely a case of trial an error.  The first idea I had, involving just the painted frames and words attached with fishing line, was an epic fail.  I wanted to give the words the illusion of floating on the wall itself, but the fishing line just got tangled.

After browsing our local fabric store for Black & White Striped Fabric, I stumbled on canvas like Gray and White striped fabric in the scrap bin.  For $2.50, I figured I could take a a little more trial and error!  Armed with my scissors, glue gun, fabric, frames and words, luckily this trial was a success!

Homemade Burger Seasoning

Earlier this summer we hosted a "Chill & Grill" Cookout.  We love planning time for all of our friends to come together and relax and hang out.  I used this homemade burger seasoning I had pinned awhile back and it was a hit!  The thing I liked most about it is you can adjusted it to your taste and use it on anything.

Anniversary Trip: Savannah, GA

This past weekend we spent the weekend in Savannah, GA celebrating our first anniversary.  It was a much needed R&R getaway and we had so much fun exploring the city and enjoying each other.  It's hard to believe we have already made it through a year, time fly's when your having fun!

Garlic Meatball Subs

This meal has really become a staple on our dinner menu.  It may be a little messy to eat, but it is so worth it.  The first time I made these, I melted the cheese on top thinking it would hold the bun together(pictured below), that didn't work out to well.  The second time I melted the cheese in the bun then topped with meatballs, peppers & onions and the sandwich stayed together almost perfectly.  You can find the recipe at My Cooking Spot.  Enjoy!

DIY Wall Art

Lately I've been a little obsessed with what to hang on our walls, maybe it's because we finally settled on a paint color and plans to get the house painted, so naturally I need to hang stuff up next!
