Brussel Sprouts with Balasmic and Cranberries
Growing up we were never introduced to Brussels Sprouts because neither of our parents particularly cared for them. As an adult I enjoy trying new foods especially when they combine flavors that I love like cranberries and balsamic. Thanks to the Pioneer Women for this delicious recipe.

My Stripe Walls - In Progress
If you remember about a month ago, I was gushing over this Stripe Wall Inspiration. Shortly after that post I dove right in and began working on what will eventually by our gallery wall. Although not finished (still waiting on touch up paint from the builder), I couldn't keep the secret any long, a few of you might have noticed the new wall color from my Favorite Things Party.
Using this tutorial from Young House Love, here's a peek at how I painted our wall one rainy Monday evening. The color is Sherwin Williams' Accessible Beige. Can't wait to share the finished product!

Lime Creamsicles
August is a few days away, how refreshing would this Lime Creamsicle be pool side or beach side, or pretty much anytime during the hottest month of the year?

Cowboy Quiche
Growing up my Mom always used to make the best Quiche, it is definitely a comfort food that reminds me of home. When I decided to host a Favorite Things Party, I thought Quiche would be a nice filling food and decided to try my had at. The dish was a hit! I used The Pioneer Woman's Cowboy Quiche Recipe, you can find here.

Favorite Things Party
I first got the idea of hosting a Favorite Things party from Just Destiny. Following her suggestions, I designed some invitations, sent them to a few of my closest ladies and put together some simple decor and voila, the party was a huge success! We had a great time sharing our favorite things, lots of laughs, great conversation and enjoying great food. This might become an annual event for us!

French Toast Bake
This recipe was another huge hit at the Favorite Things Party. I first had this delicious take on French Toast at another friends party a few year back, since she wasn't able to attend I used the recipe she generously shared with me to recreate her dish. The recipe can be found on Rach's Blog and I plan on making again and again.

DIY Gold Vases
I've always wanted to host a brunch for a few of my favorite ladies. After following Just Destiny for a few years now, I fell in love with her idea of hosting annual Favorite Things parties with her friends. As part of the decor, I knew these DIY vases found on Pinterest would fit in perfectly with my Black, Gold and Pink color palette. Find the directions on Two Twenty One and check out how my vases turned out!
